Our medical manufacturing department is housed in a separate, sanitary building on the AGL campus. Our state-of-the-art medical manufacturing machinery includes:
• Tsugami B-075 (5-Axis, Swiss Lathe), Max Diameter: 7MM
This 5-axis machine has back spindle capabilities along the Z2-axis and is able to eliminate many secondary operations. This convertible Swiss style lathe features a very high speed main spindle (15,000rpm) and sub spindle (12,000rpm). High speed is essential for precision in micro-machining small parts.
• Tsugami 55327-5AX (7 AXIS, Swiss Lathe with Milling), Max Diameter: 32MM
The Tsugami SS327-III-5AX Swiss Type Lathe is an enhanced, high performance automatic lathe. This machine’s servo-driven, modular B-axis allows for the cutting of complex parts, complete in a single setup, while applying the capability for through hole thread whirling or high speed spindles for small surfacing end mills. The B-axis contains live tools (four front, two rear) which can machine in coordination with the C-axis, delivering the ability to cut precise angles and sculpted contours. The B-axis functionality transforms this Swiss type lathe into a multitasking turning center that can drill, tap, and end mill any angle.

AGL’s KEYENCE IM-8030T Image Dimension Measurement System has triple the detection performance of conventional systems. The IM-8030T has a 20-megapixel CMOS sensor and a new algorithm for stable edge detection, high-accuracy measurement on up to 300 features within seconds.
The inspection station is only steps away from our milling lathes, allowing our technicians to monitor quality during the manufacturing process.
